Job Description:

● Provide medical care for patients in the emergency department under the supervision of

attending physicians

● Evaluate and manage patients with acute medical and traumatic conditions

● Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory and imaging studies, and use the

results to guide patient care

● Perform procedures, such as suturing and splinting, and provide basic life support when

needed

● Document patient care in electronic medical records and communicate with other

healthcare professionals regarding patient status and treatment plans

● Participate in education and training activities, including teaching and supervising

medical students and junior residents

● Attend departmental meetings and participate in quality improvement initiatives to

improve patient care and departmental processes

● Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and social workers, to

coordinate patient care and ensure timely discharge or admission when appropriate

● Adhere to ethical and legal standards of medical practice and maintain licensure and

certification requirements.
