Job Description
The role is accountable for:
• Editorial development of content and supplemental learning materials in print and digital form
(Editorial development includes generating content ideas; researching and coordinating editorial ideas; developing style guide for projects; developmental editing, copyediting and proofreading content; coordinating writing and editing assignments, reviewing acquired content, and ensuring compliance to local and global editorial standards and curriculum frameworks)
• Coordinating with outsourced freelance editors, writers, graphics artists, and with other concerned departments internally
• Quality control for product, and working with editorial and graphics/media personnel on media acquisition
• Writing and maintaining process documentation related to content development for specific series or products
• Managing deadlines and schedules with zero compromise on quality
• Managing the publication process efficiently and cost-effectively
Skills/Knowledge:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language
• Familiarity with editing standards
• Familiarity with pedagogy and school curriculum
• Experience in working with global, regional, and local teams and stakeholders
