We- re looking for a full-time Business Development and Sales leader to help us take our English language certification (STEP) and learning programs to corporate customers. Our product, which includes the most advanced language learning and assessment techniques, analytics and artificial intelligence tools represents the state of the art in English language learning and assessment. You should have a consultative mind-set and an ability to shape our offerings to meet our clients- needs. You should be connected within the training and skill development eco-system and be able to marshal internal and external resources (freelancers, trainers, other partners) to get things done for our clients.
Role & Responsibilities
- Identify prospective clients and arrange pitch meetings
- Shape our offering to meet clients- needs, including bundling of third-party training services
- Prepare proposals, negotiate and close deals with clients
- Build meaningful partnerships with corporates and industry bodies such as NASSCOM, CII etc. to drive adoption of our tests and training products as industry standards
- Build long-term relationships with clients and ensure that the client's needs are being met
- Sales/Business development experience in the Education and/or Skill Development sectors in India
- A track record of building successful relationships in this sector
The Standardized Test of English Proficiency (STEP) is an independent venture of The Hindu Group, the publishers of the iconic newspaper, The Hindu. STEP is an English language certification exam and training programme for Indian students and job-seekers.
