Budget Planning and Management: Make and maintain business plans which include Top Line
Sales and profit.
Merchandise Planning: Make and maintain all the merchandise and brand plans. Prepare WSSI and sales forecasting documents. Plan and control key performance indicators in line with company strategy e.g. Sales, Stock, Margin, Markdown.
Merchandise Management: Plan the phasing intake and controlling Open to buy budgets,
Control stock turn in line with company strategy. Plan all promotional activities and sale
requirements and costs.
Stock Management: Responsible to maintain adequate stock covers at brand and category level. Identify liquidation stocks and markdown Stocks. Maintain stock levels to achieve sales.
Brand and Range Management: Finalize and identify suitable brands to be represented on the website. Construct a well balanced range from across all brands with the right category mix. Ensure correct depths in buys and maintain the price architecture on website. Identify seasonal spends by brand, brand type and by product type to ensure a commercial, well balanced range
Market and Trend Research: Extensive market research in customer buying habits. In depth analysis to ensure right buying decisions. Keeping updated with market dynamics. Learning market trends. Analysing forecasts. Working closely with the Digital marketing team to understand customer buying behaviour.
Reporting: Prepare and update all reporting formats. Manage weekly, monthly and seasonal reporting requirements. Record and monitor sales and trade the department based on these figures. To put in place measures to ensuring consistency in the updating of business formats. To put in place measures to ensure system fields are input correctly and timely by team members to capture information to report and trade on.
Team development and Management: Working alongside buying function, and responsible for managing Planning And Merchandising team of 15 members.
Liaising with other KOOVS functions outside Buying – VM, Production, Marketing and Finance to help achieve the overall business plans.
Experience Needed (Professional):
Graduated from Fashion Institute with 8 +years’ experience from Tier 1 colleges
MBA Ops from NITIE/SIOM Nasik/SP Jain/ISB/IIM desirable.
Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience
Experience in Either Organized Retail/ E commerce/ FMCG
Desired Candidate Profile:
Extremely proficient in MS Office (Extreme proficiency in Advanced Excel, PPT, Macros),
MS Project, Visio
Excellent Strategic level presentation skills are a must
Eye for details and very Strong in Number crunching & Analysis
Self-Motivated and adaptable
Ability to lead a team under pressure and deliver results.
Ownership of process and ability to lead the team.
