We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Academic Director to oversee all academic\s\s
affairs at private university . As the Academic Director, you will be responsible for\s\s
managing a diverse student body of 3000 individuals and leading a team of deans and heads\s\s
of departments (HODs) to ensure the smooth functioning of all academic programs.
Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing a cohesive and high-\s\s
performing academic team.
*Key Responsibilities: *
1. *Strategic Leadership: * Provide strategic direction and leadership to the academic\s\s
team, aligning academic programs with the institution’s goals and objectives.
1. *Student Management: * Oversee the academic progress, welfare, and overall\s\s
experience of all 3000 students, ensuring a conducive learning environment and proactive\s\s
student support services.
1. *Team Management: * Lead, mentor, and manage a team of deans and HODs across\s\s
various departments, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
1. *Curriculum Development: * Work closely with faculty members and curriculum\s\s
development committees to review, enhance, and innovate academic programs to meet\s\s
industry standards and emerging trends.
1. *Quality Assurance: * Implement quality assurance mechanisms to monitor and\s\s
evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs, ensuring compliance with accreditation\s\s
standards and regulatory requirements.
1. *Resource Allocation: * Manage budgetary allocations for academic activities,\s\s
optimize resource utilization, and identify opportunities for strategic investments in academic\s\s
infrastructure and resources.
1. *Stakeholder Engagement: * Foster positive relationships with industry partners,\s\s
alumni, accrediting bodies, and other stakeholders to enhance academic partnerships,\s\s
research collaborations, and placement opportunities for students.
1. *Continuous Improvement: * Drive a culture of continuous improvement and\s\s
excellence in academic delivery, incorporating feedback, best practices, and innovative\s\s
pedagogical approaches to enhance student learning outcomes.
*Qualifications and Skills: *
- A Master’s or doctoral degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in academic leadership roles, preferably\s\s
in a film or media education institution.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and\s\s
motivate teams towards achieving common goals.
- Proven track record in curriculum development, program assessment, and academic quality\s\s
assurance processes.
- Deep understanding of industry trends and standards in film and media education.
- Excellent organizational and strategic planning abilities, with a focus on results-oriented\s\s
outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems is desirable.
