Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as an Assistant General Manager – Business for our Home Textile division. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, managing operations, and leading a team to achieve organizational goals. This role requires strategic thinking, market expertise, and a strong understanding of the home textile industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

Identify and develop new business opportunities in the home textile sector.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.

Lead negotiations and close deals with clients and partners to achieve revenue targets.

Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement business strategies to enhance market share and profitability.

Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to inform decision-making.

Plan and execute marketing and sales initiatives in alignment with company goals.

Operations Management:

Oversee production planning, inventory management, and supply chain processes to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.

Coordinate with design and production teams to align offerings with market demand.

Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales and operations professionals.

Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and provide training to enhance team capabilities.

Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

Financial Management:

Prepare and manage budgets for the business unit.

Monitor financial performance and implement measures to optimize profitability.

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and stakeholders.

Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and trade shows.

Address client concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Textile Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) is preferred.

Experience:

8+ years of experience in the home textile industry, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Proven track record in business development, sales, or operations management.

Skills:

Strong understanding of home textile products, trends, and markets.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strategic thinking with exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in international markets and export-oriented businesses.

Knowledge of sustainable practices in textile production and sales.

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
