Role Overview:\s\s
We are seeking a creative and dynamic content writer to join our marketing team and elevate the online presence of our esteemed business school. This role requires a talented storyteller who understands the value of strategic content development for digital platforms. You’ll craft high-quality blog posts and compelling social media content (statics copy; video and reel scripts, etc.) to engage and attract prospective students, and showcase our thought leadership within the business community.\s\s
Responsibilities\s\s
Content Development:\s\s
Develop compelling blog posts on business-related topics that demonstrate our school’s expertise, align with target audiences, and enhance our SEO presence.\s\s
Create engaging social media content (including copy, images, and potentially short videos) across various platforms that promotes the business school’s programs, events, news, and achievements.\s\s
Work closely with subject matter experts (faculty, staff) to translate complex business concepts into informative and accessible content.\s\s
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective content calendars for our blog and social channels.\s\s
Brand Voice and Tone:\s\s
Maintain a consistent brand voice that reflects the business school’s professionalism, prestige, and innovative spirit.\s\s
Adapt the style and tone of content to suit different social media platforms.\s\s
Editing and Proofreading:\s\s
Meticulously proofread and edit your own work, as well as content developed by others when needed, to ensure the highest standards of quality, grammar, and accuracy.\s\s
Performance Analytics:\s\s
Monitor social media engagement, blog readership, and track relevant KPIs.\s\s
Analyse and report on content performance to identify trends, optimise strategies, and inform content creation.\s\s
Qualifications\s\s
Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.\s\s
Experience: Prior experience in content writing, with a strong focus on digital content and social media preferred. Experience in higher education marketing is a plus.\s\s
Writing Portfolio: A portfolio of outstanding writing samples demonstrating strong storytelling skills, attention to detail, and a variety of content formats (blog posts, social media posts, etc.).\s\s
Business Acumen: A clear understanding of basic business principles, or the ability to quickly learn and translate business concepts into engaging content.\s\s
Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough research, compile information from credible sources, and synthesise relevant themes for content.\s\s
SEO Awareness: Familiarity with basic SEO principles and best practices to optimise content for search engines.\s\s
Project Management: Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple content projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and meet deadlines.
