We are seeking a visionary Food Science Expert to join as a Co-Founder & Product Officer, leading innovation and development in our product lineup.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Development & Innovation
• Research and develop gut-friendly meal formulations, snacks, and grocery kits.
• Optimize recipes for taste, nutrition, shelf life, and large-scale production.
• Implement natural food preservation techniques without artificial additives.
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI & global food safety regulations.
2. Quality Control & Safety
• Establish and manage quality control protocols for meals and packaged products.
• Develop standardized preparation methods for consistency.
• Implement food safety SOPs for cooking, storage, and packaging.
3. R&D & Industry Trends
• Research emerging food science trends (e.g., fermented foods, plant-based proteins).
• Experiment with functional foods like probiotics, adaptogens, and superfoods.
• Collaborate with nutritionists and dietitians for science-backed meal plans.
4. Business & Scale-Up Strategy
• Design cost-effective production strategies with minimal waste.
• Identify B2B opportunities (gyms, schools, hospitals, corporates) to optimize meal plans.
• Work with the marketing team to highlight the scientific benefits of HGK’s offerings.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Food Science, Nutrition, Food Technology, or related fields.
• Experience: 5+ years in food product development, R&D, or nutrition-focused food businesses.
• Expertise in:
o Nutritional profiling and formulation of functional foods.
o Meal packaging, shelf-life extension, and processing innovations.
o Food safety standards and regulatory approvals (FSSAI, FDA, etc.).
• Mindset: Entrepreneurial, hands-on, problem-solving approach with a passion for gut health and sustainable food innovation.
