Position Summary:
We are seeking a Program Manager (ECE, Academics) based in Bhubaneswar to support a Project Management Unit (PMU) in driving a comprehensive foundational learning program. The role involves leading state-level academic initiatives, including the design and rollout of high-quality academic materials such as teacher guides, student workbooks, assessments, and educational videos. The Program Manager will also develop training plans and mentoring protocols to support effective teaching practices. This is a collaborative role involving engagement with government stakeholders and partners to strengthen classroom implementation and improve student learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
Develop and review academic materials aligned with ECE pedagogy and NCF-FS guidelines.
Provide constructive feedback on materials developed internally or by partners.
Work with partners to refine and finalize content ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
Training Design & Capacity Building:
Design training frameworks, session plans, and materials to enable effective cascade training.
Conduct or support training of master trainers and/or teachers as needed.
Program & Project Management:
Manage end-to-end academic product development for statewide and district-level ECE programs.
Create project plans, manage timelines, and ensure timely delivery of outputs.
Anticipate roadblocks, define specifications, resolve issues, and hold stakeholders accountable.
Conduct user testing, analyze findings, and share actionable insights.
Documentation & Communication:
Develop presentations and reports for stakeholders in Google Slides, Docs, or other formats.
Synthesize research and insights into concise communication for both internal and external audiences.
Partnership & Ecosystem Engagement:
Strengthen the technical capacity of partners through guidance and collaboration.
Share quality benchmarks and best practices in ECE with ecosystem stakeholders.
Influence partners to create higher-impact academic materials that serve government needs.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
2–4 years of hands-on experience in academic product development (curriculum, training, assessments) with complete project ownership.
Strong academic background (specialization in Early Childhood Education is a plus).
Prior experience in ECE curriculum design or education fellowships would be beneficial.
Ability to synthesize insights into actionable strategies and influence decision-making.
Strong project delivery skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and coordinate across stakeholders.
Entrepreneurial spirit, proactive mindset, and willingness to work in a dynamic, evolving environment.
Comfort working in smaller, collaborative teams.
Proficiency in Odia and English (spoken and written) is essential.
Willingness to travel to field/project locations as required.
